Description
Back Road Nesters
The kids are grown, the nest is empty, and the tailgate’s down. Back Road Nesters is for couples who finally have the time to just go: grab the cooler and your favorite tumblers, throw a blanket in the truck bed, and follow the signs wherever they point. Galveston’s 50 miles out. Fiji’s a little farther. Either one sounds good.
Our two Nesters are parked on the beach at sunset, drinks in hand, with palm trees all around and a tiki bar just down the pier. It’s a reminder that the best chapter doesn’t need a plan. It just needs the two of you and an open road.
